During this COVID-19 public health crisis, I’ve transitioned to online teletherapy sessions to continue serving clients safely.
The office reopening date for face-to-face sessions is contingent upon a consistent decrease in case numbers in L.A. County. At the time of reopening, PPE precautions will be applied in accordance with CDC, state and local public health guidelines.
CLINICAL APPROACH
Evelyn Wright, LCSW, has extensive experience working with adults, adolescents and children with a range of emotional, psychological and relational issues. She specializes in working with individuals who have experienced trauma and/or negative life experiences. With a strength-focused approach, she utilizes various methodologies allowing for her attunement to the client and a clinical approach tailored to individual needs. A number of theoretical approaches are applied within play therapy. Children are free to explore positive and negative feelings within the safety of the playroom and the non-directive approach of play therapy. Play allows the therapist to honor the child’s developmental level utilizing the child’s language of play. Specializing in trauma and critical incident stress, EMDR therapy is also utilized. Play therapy has been heavily researched and determined to be an effective mental health approach.
